Sausage And Peppers

Ingredients
- 4 Italian sausages
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the sausages and cook until browned on all sides, about 8 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Heat the remaining tablespoon of olive oil in the same skillet. Add the peppers, onion, and garlic. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Return the sausages to the skillet.
- Cover and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sausages are cooked through.
- Serve the sausage and peppers hot, with crusty bread or over pasta.
