Sausage Tortellini

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 package cheese tortellini
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and cooked sausage to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Cook the tortellini according to the package instructions. Drain and add to the skillet with the sausage and tomato mixture.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Serve the sausage tortellini garnished with grated Parmesan cheese.
