Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1 cup Maddur vada (spicy fritters)
  • 4 tbsp mint chutney
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • Butter for toasting

Instructions

  1. Spread mint chutney on one side of each bread slice.
  2. Place a few slices of onion and tomato on half of the bread slices.
  3. Place a Maddur vada on top of the vegetables.
  4. Cover with the remaining bread slices to make sandwiches.
  5. Spread butter on the outsides of the sandwiches.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and toast the sandwiches until golden brown on both sides.
  7. Remove from the skillet and cut the sandwiches in half.
  8. Serve hot with extra chutney or ketchup.
