Ingredients

  • 2 cups dosa batter
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat a non-stick pan or cast iron griddle on medium heat.
  2. Pour a ladleful of dosa batter onto the center of the pan and spread it in a circular motion to make a thick pancake.
  3. Sprinkle a portion of the chopped onions, green chilies, coriander leaves, and cumin seeds on top of the uttapam.
  4. Drizzle a little oil around the edges and on top of the uttapam.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom turns golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from the pan and serve hot with coconut chutney or sambar.
