Ingredients
- 1 package of frozen spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 package of phyllo pastry sheets
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the spinach, feta cheese, onions, dill, parsley, Parmesan cheese, eggs, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Layer 5 sheets of phyllo pastry in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
- Spoon the spinach mixture over the phyllo sheets.
- Layer another 5 sheets of phyllo pastry on top of the spinach mixture, again brushing each sheet with melted butter.
- Score the top layer of pastry with a sharp knife to create diamond or square shapes.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy.
- Allow the pie to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
