Savory Stuffed Dumplings (Çibörek)

Ingredients

  • 500g ground beef
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 500g flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef, onions, salt, black pepper, paprika, and water to make the filling.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and warm water to make the dough. Knead the dough until smooth, then let it rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle.
  4. Place a spoonful of the filling onto one half of the dough circle, then fold the other half over the filling to create a half-moon shape. Press the edges to seal the dumpling.
  5. In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Fry the dumplings until golden brown on both sides.
  6. Remove the fried dumplings and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve the Çibörek hot and enjoy!
