Ingredients
- 2 cups sauerkraut
- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the sauerkraut, apples, onion, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, caraway seeds, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and pour the vegetable broth over the top.
