Saxon Cucumber Salad (Uborkasaláta)

Ingredients

  • 2 large cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers and red onion.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the white vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper until the sugar is dissolved.
  3. Pour the vinegar mixture over the cucumbers and onion. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped fresh dill over the salad and toss again.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
