Saxon Sauerkraut and Sausage Bake (Kolbászos Káposzta)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
  • 1 cup (240ml) chicken broth
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large skillet, sauté the sausage, onion, and garlic until the onion is soft and the sausage is browned.
  3. Stir in the sauerkraut, chicken broth, caraway seeds, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  5. Serve hot and enjoy!
