Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon palm sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the bitter melons by cutting off the tops and removing the seeds.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground chicken, onion, garlic, tomato, green chilies, tamarind paste, palm sugar, and salt.
  3. Stuff the bitter melons with the chicken filling.
  4. Heat the cooking oil in a pot and sauté the stuffed bitter melons until they are slightly browned.
  5. Pour in the water and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Serve the stuffed bitter melon soup hot with steamed rice.
