  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, 1 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Beat the egg and vanilla extract together, then add to the flour mixture. Mix until crumbly and set aside.
  4. In another bowl, mix the fruit, 1/4 cup of sugar, and cornstarch until the fruit is evenly coated.
