Schupfnudel Sensation
Schupfnudel Sensation is a traditional Swabian dish that will delight your taste buds with its hearty flavors and satisfying texture.
Ingredients
- 500g potatoes, boiled and mashed
- 200g all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 150g bacon, diced (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed potatoes, flour, egg, and salt to form a dough.
- On a floured surface, roll the dough into long ropes and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
- Boil the Schupfnudel in salted water until they float to the surface, then drain them.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter and sauté the onions (and bacon, if using) until golden brown.
- Add the cooked Schupfnudel to the skillet and fry until lightly browned.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
