Schupfnudel Skillet Sensation is a traditional Swabian dish that combines soft potato noodles with savory bacon and caramelized onions. This hearty and comforting meal is perfect for a cozy family dinner or a casual gathering with friends.
Ingredients
- 500g Schupfnudeln (potato noodles)
- 200g bacon, diced
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
- Add the sliced onions to the skillet and cook in the bacon fat until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Remove the onions from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the Schupfnudeln and cook until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
- Return the bacon and onions to the skillet with the Schupfnudeln. Season with salt and pepper, and toss everything together until well combined.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
