Ingredients
- 500g minced beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 beef stock cube
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 500g plain flour
- 250g lard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, mix the minced beef, chopped onion, crumbled stock cube, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Roll out two-thirds of the pastry and use it to line 6 individual pie tins.
- Divide the meat mixture between the pie tins.
- Roll out the remaining pastry and use it to cover the pies. Seal the edges and trim off any excess pastry.
- Make a small hole in the center of each pie to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and the filling is cooked through.
