Scrambled Paneer (paneer Bhurji)

Ingredients

  • 250g paneer, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter) or oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add chopped onions and green chilies, sauté until onions are translucent.
  4. Stir in ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  5. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes are soft.
  6. Add crumbled paneer and garam masala. Mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
