Ingredients
- 1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 pound white fish fillets, such as tilapia or cod
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 4 cups chicken or seafood broth
- 1 cup bok choy, chopped
- 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon chili oil (optional)
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the shrimp, white fish, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and white pepper. Pulse until the mixture becomes a paste.
- Place a small spoonful of the seafood mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle. Press the edges to seal.
- In a large pot, bring the broth to a simmer. Add the bok choy and cilantro, then gently drop in the wontons. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the wontons are cooked through.
- Stir in the rice vinegar and chili oil, if using. Serve the soup hot, garnished with additional green onions or cilantro if desired.
