Ingredients
- 4 seahorses, cleaned and gutted
- 2 cups tomato puree
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the tomato puree, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the cleaned seahorses to the pot and pour in the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the seahorses are tender.
- Once the seahorses are cooked, remove them from the pot and set aside.
- Continue to simmer the tomato sauce until it thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
- Return the seahorses to the pot and simmer for an additional 5 minutes to heat through.
- Serve the seahorse in tomato sauce hot, accompanied by your favorite side dishes.
