Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh tuna steak
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and black pepper to make the dipping sauce. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear the tuna steak for 1-2 minutes on each side. The goal is to sear the outside while leaving the inside rare.
- Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
- Arrange the sliced tuna on a serving platter, drizzle with the dipping sauce, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
