Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh tuna steak
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and black pepper to make the dipping sauce. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear the tuna steak for 1-2 minutes on each side. The goal is to sear the outside while leaving the inside rare.
  3. Remove the tuna from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
  4. Arrange the sliced tuna on a serving platter, drizzle with the dipping sauce, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
