Seekh Kebab (spiced Lamb Kebabs)

Ingredients

  • 500g minced lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh coriander, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the minced lamb, onion, green chilies, fresh coriander, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a long, cylindrical kebab around a skewer.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the kebabs in the pan and cook for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are evenly browned and cooked through.
  4. Remove the kebabs from the pan and serve hot with mint chutney, naan, or rice.
