Ingredients

  • 1 cup semolina
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/4 teaspoon saffron strands
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, pistachios)

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat ghee and roast the semolina until it turns golden and aromatic.
  2. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and add saffron strands.
  3. Slowly add the roasted semolina to the boiling water, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Add sugar and cardamom powder, and continue to cook until the mixture thickens.
  5. Garnish with chopped nuts and mix well.
  6. Remove from heat and let it set for a few minutes before serving.
