Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the yeast mixture and the milk mixture into the bowl with the flour and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them on a greased baking sheet.
- Cover the dough balls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake the bread for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
