Serobe Sensation
Serobe Sensation is a traditional Botswana dish made with tripe, onions, and spices. It's a flavorful and hearty meal that is perfect for sharing with family and friends.
Ingredients
- 1 kg tripe, cleaned and cut into small pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the diced tomatoes and cook until they soften.
- Add the tripe pieces to the pot and stir to combine with the onions and tomatoes.
- Season with ground coriander, ground cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir well to coat the tripe with the spices.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the tripe is tender.
- Once the tripe is tender, remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
