Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, sesame seeds, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the softened butter, vanilla extract, and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each ball with a fork.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown.
  6. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
