Sesame Glazed Shanghai Chicken (芝麻上海鸡)

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to make the marinade.

  5. While the chicken is cooking, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked through, brush the glaze over the chicken and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Serve the 芝麻上海鸡 (Sesame Glazed Shanghai Chicken) with steamed rice and your favorite vegetables.
