Sesame Seed Fudge (til Barfi)
Sesame Seed Fudge, also known as Til Barfi, is a traditional sweet from Jharkhandi Cuisine. This delicious fudge is made with sesame seeds, jaggery, and ghee, and is perfect for celebrating festivals or serving as a dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 cups sesame seeds
- 1 cup jaggery
- 2 tbsp ghee
Instructions
- Dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan until they turn golden brown. Let them cool.
- Grind the roasted sesame seeds to a coarse powder.
- In a pan, heat ghee and add jaggery. Cook until the jaggery melts and forms a syrup.
- Add the ground sesame seeds to the jaggery syrup and mix well. Cook for a few minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Pour the mixture into a greased tray and let it cool. Cut into pieces once it sets.
