Sfeeha (lebanese Spinach And Meat Pie)
Sfeeha is a popular Lebanese dish that consists of delicious spinach and meat filling wrapped in a flavorful dough. This savory pie is perfect for a family meal or as a party appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground lamb or beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1/4 cup pine nuts
- 1/4 cup pomegranate molasses
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the ground meat and onion until browned. Add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted. Season with allspice, cinnamon, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let it cool.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into small circles.
- Place a spoonful of the meat and spinach mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold the edges to form a small pie and pinch to seal.
- Sprinkle the pies with pine nuts and brush the tops with pomegranate molasses.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
