Ingredients

  • 500g pork belly, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon five-spice powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 Chinese flatbreads or buns

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the minced pork belly, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, oyster sauce, five-spice powder, sugar, salt, and white pepper. Let it marinate for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the marinated pork mixture. Cook until the pork is browned and cooked through.
  3. Warm the Chinese flatbreads or buns in a steamer or microwave.
  4. Stuff the cooked pork filling inside the warm flatbreads or buns.
  5. Serve the Shaanxi Rou Jia Mo hot and enjoy!
