Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken feet
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 dried chili pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Rinse the chicken feet and trim off any excess skin or nails.
- In a large pot, blanch the chicken feet in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and set aside.
- Heat some oil in the pot, then add ginger, garlic, and green onions. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the blanched chicken feet, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, star anise, cinnamon stick, and dried chili pepper. Stir well to coat the chicken feet with the sauce.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Then reduce the heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour until the chicken feet are tender.
- Once the chicken feet are tender, uncover the pot and continue to cook until the sauce thickens.
- Transfer the braised chicken feet to a serving dish and garnish with chopped green onions.
