Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp black bean sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch (2.5cm) ginger, julienned
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the beef slices with soy sauce and Shaoxing wine for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add garlic, ginger, and green onions, and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  3. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned.
  4. Add black bean sauce and sugar, and continue to stir-fry for another 2 minutes.
