Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 4 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a pot, blanch the beef tripe in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat some oil in the pot, add ginger, green onions, and star anise. Stir-fry until fragrant.
  3. Add the blanched beef tripe, soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar. Stir well.
  4. Pour in the water and bring to a boil. Then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 2 hours until the beef tripe is tender.
