Ingredients

  • 500g chicken feet
  • 3 slices of ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Shaoxing wine
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 dried chili pepper
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a pot, blanch the chicken feet in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the cooking oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. Add the ginger, garlic, and green onions, and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the blanched chicken feet to the wok, and stir-fry for 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in the soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, and sugar. Add the star anise, cinnamon stick, and dried chili pepper. Stir to combine.
  5. Pour in the water, cover the wok, and simmer for 1 hour, or until the chicken feet are tender and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Once done, remove the chicken feet from the wok and transfer to a serving plate. Serve hot and enjoy!
