Ingredients
- 1 block of firm tofu, cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add the tofu cubes and fry until golden brown on all sides. Remove the tofu from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the garlic, ginger, and green onions. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, and sugar. Stir to combine.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
- Return the tofu to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Pour the slurry into the pan and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
