Ingredients
- 500g pork ribs
- 3 potatoes, peeled and cut into chunks
- 3 slices of ginger
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Shaoxing wine
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon five-spice powder
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- In a large pot, blanch the pork ribs in boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove and rinse under cold water.
- Heat some oil in the pot, then add ginger, garlic, and green onions. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the pork ribs and stir-fry until browned.
- Pour in the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, salt, and five-spice powder. Stir to coat the ribs.
- Add the potatoes and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until the meat is tender.
- Adjust seasoning if needed, then serve hot.
