Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs pork ribs
- 1 lb taro, peeled and cut into chunks
- 3 slices ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- In a large pot, blanch the pork ribs in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Heat some oil in the pot, then add the ginger, garlic, and green onions. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add the blanched pork ribs, taro chunks, soy sauce, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, and salt. Stir to coat the ingredients with the sauce.
- Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1 hour or until the pork ribs are tender.
- Once done, remove the lid and continue to simmer for another 10 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with chopped green onions. Serve hot with steamed rice.
