Ingredients
- 500g shark fillets, cut into chunks
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 2 cups tomato puree
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Cook until the onion is soft and translucent.
- Add the shark fillets to the pot and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour in the tomato puree, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Add the water, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the shark is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Serve the shark in tomato sauce hot, accompanied by rice or ugali.
