Shashlik (spicy Lamb Kebabs)

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless lamb, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 1 large onion, cut into chunks
- 2 bell peppers, cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, red pepper flakes, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the lamb cubes to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the spice mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the stovetop grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated lamb, onion, and bell pepper onto skewers, alternating the ingredients.
- Place the kebabs on the grill or in the skillet and cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove the kebabs from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
