Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron threads
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/2 teaspoon rose water
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the rice and milk. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Stir in the sugar and saffron threads, and continue to simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes until the rice is creamy and the mixture has thickened.
