Shepherd's Pie Easy

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add the onion, carrots, peas, garlic, and thyme. Cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir in the beef broth and tomato paste. Simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish. Spread the mashed potatoes over the top.
- Sprinkle the cheddar cheese over the mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the filling is bubbling.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
