Ingredients
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups napa cabbage, chopped
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into large meatballs.
- In a deep skillet or pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer. Add the napa cabbage to the broth.
- Gently place the meatballs into the simmering broth. Cover and let them cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Serve the Lion's Head Meatballs with the cabbage and some of the broth in bowls.
