Shirataki Noodles
Shirataki noodles, also known as konjac noodles, are a low-carb, low-calorie alternative to traditional pasta. They are made from the konjac yam and are a popular ingredient in Asian cuisine.
Ingredients
- 1 package of shirataki noodles
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 cup sliced vegetables (such as bell peppers, carrots, and snap peas)
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
Instructions
- Open the package of shirataki noodles and drain the liquid. Rinse the noodles under cold water for 1-2 minutes.
- In a large pan, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the sliced vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.
- Add the shirataki noodles, soy sauce, and half of the green onions to the pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the noodles are heated through.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the remaining green onions and chopped cilantro.
- Divide the noodles and vegetables between two plates and serve hot.
