Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden or metal skewers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the chopped onion, minced garlic, olive oil, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the beef cubes to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the spice mixture. Marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.
  3. Thread the marinated beef cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
  4. Heat a stovetop grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the kebabs for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach the desired level of doneness.
  5. Remove the kebabs from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
