Shish Taouk (grilled Lamb Kebabs)

Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds of lamb, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of paprika
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
  2. Add the lamb cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto skewers, alternating with chunks of onion and bell pepper.
  5. Grill the kebabs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  6. Serve the Shish Taouk hot with rice, salad, or pita bread.
