Shish Tawook (grilled Chicken Skewers) With Garlic Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
