Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 large red onion, cut into chunks
- 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the yogurt, garlic, olive oil, paprika, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken cubes and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the stovetop grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken, red onion, and bell peppers onto skewers.
- Grill the skewers for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the vegetables are tender.
- Serve the Shish Tawook hot with rice, salad, or flatbread.
