Shogo Shapta (golden Fried Yak Dumplings)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb yak meat, minced
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 package dumpling wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the minced yak meat, onion, garlic, ginger, cilantro, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric, chili powder, and salt.
  2. Place a small amount of the meat mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold over, and press to seal.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the dumplings until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Remove the dumplings from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  5. Serve the Shogo Shapta hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
