Ingredients
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh dill, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
- Add the cumin and coriander, and cook for another minute.
- Pour in the broth and bring to a simmer.
- Whisk the yogurt in a bowl and gradually add a ladleful of the hot broth to temper it.
- Slowly pour the tempered yogurt into the pot while stirring constantly.
- Add the cilantro and dill, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
