Shrimp and Pork Dumplings (Bánh bột lọc)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup tapioca flour
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the shrimp, ground pork, salt, sugar, and ground black pepper.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the tapioca flour and water to form a dough.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each ball into a circle.
  4. Place a spoonful of the shrimp and pork mixture in the center of each circle.
  5. Fold the dough over the filling and seal the edges to form dumplings.
  6. Heat the cooking oil in a pan and fry the dumplings until they are translucent and cooked through.
  7. Serve the dumplings hot with dipping sauce.
