虾饺狂热 (Shrimp Dumpling Sensation) is a classic dim sum dish that originates from Hong Kong. These delicate and flavorful shrimp dumplings are a must-try for any dim sum lover.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 20 round dumpling wrappers
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until finely chopped.
- Transfer the chopped shrimp to a bowl and add water chestnuts, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper. Mix well.
- Place a small spoonful of the shrimp mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold and pleat to seal.
- Steam the dumplings for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
