Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
  • 20 round dumpling wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, pulse the shrimp until finely chopped.
  2. Transfer the chopped shrimp to a bowl and add water chestnuts, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and white pepper. Mix well.
  3. Place a small spoonful of the shrimp mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, then fold and pleat to seal.
  4. Steam the dumplings for 8-10 minutes until cooked through.
