Ingredients
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup water
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the chopped green onions, cilantro, beaten egg, and water to the dry ingredients. Mix until well combined.
- Chop the shrimp into small pieces and fold them into the batter.
- Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
- Drop spoonfuls of the shrimp batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve the shrimp fritters hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
