Shrimp Toast

Ingredients
- 12 slices white bread
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 green onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a food processor, combine the shrimp, garlic, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper. Pulse until the mixture becomes a paste.
- Trim the crusts off the bread slices and cut each slice into 4 triangles.
- Spread a generous amount of the shrimp paste onto each triangle of bread.
- Beat the egg in a bowl. Dip each shrimp toast into the beaten egg, then coat with sesame seeds.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the shrimp toasts in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the shrimp toasts from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
